  • 250 grams Whole wheat flour  2 cups
  • 50 grams Semolina medium size (Rava) ½ cup
  • 1 tablespoon Ghee  (clarified butter)
  • ½ teaspoon Salt as per taste
  • ½ cup Water or milk  more or less as per need for making dough

  • 1 tablespoon Roasted chana dal  (split chickpeas)
  • 100 grams Grated coconut 1 cup
  • 1 teaspoon Cardamom powder
  • ½ teaspoon Saunf powder (fennel seeds powder)
  • 150 grams Shredded jaggery  1 cup
  • 1 teaspoon Salt as per taste

Instructions

  • How to prepare Malida recipe:
  •  First make dough using wheat flour, rava, Ghee, and milk or water. Leave this dough for 15 minutes. After that make medium size dough ball.
  • Make normal size chapati as you make, but with lots of ghee.
  • There is no need for chapatis size should be round because we have to crumble it for making malida.
  • Further, in a kadhai heat ½ tablespoon ghee and roast all the ingredients and keep aside.
  • When chapatis cooled, crush them with your hands or using a mixer
  • But don't grind fine. Roughly grind chapatis in a mixer.
  • Now add all the ingredients like cardamom powder, saunf powder, grated coconut, chopped dry fruits, raisins, shredded jaggery, chana dal to ground chapatis in a large bowl.
  • Mix everything and yes your Malida is ready to serve.

Malida ladoos Recipe:

  • First, make malida as above steps.
  • Binding malida ladoos is very simple no need to add anything into malida for making ladoos but if you use less jaggery in malida it makes it a little bit difficult to bind ladoos. Then you can make jaggery syrup and add it. (melt 1 teaspoon jaggery into 1 tablespoons water)
  • When it's cool down then add it into malida and also add 1 tablespoon ghee.
  • Mix it well in malida. and start making medium size balls (ladoo).
  • Finally, your Malida ladoos are ready to serve.

Notes

Notes:
  • Chapatis must be thick for better taste.
  • You can use your choice of dry fruits in malida.
  • Must roast or fry dry fruits.
