Corn chaat is a mix of boiled corn kernels that are tossed with butter, chutneys, chopped vegetables, and spices which renders it a superb flavour.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Fresh Sweet corn kernels (150 grams) If fresh not available use frozen corn kernels
  • ½ cup Finely chopped cucumber (100 grams)
  • ¼ cup Finely chopped tomato (75 grams) 1 medium sized
  • ¼ cup Finely chopped onion (75 grams) 1 medium sized
  • 2 tablespoon Butter
  • 1 tablespoon Coriander leaves
  • ½ teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice ½ lemon
  • ½ tablespoon Chaat masala
  • ½ tablespoon Red chilli powder
  • ½ teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • ½ teaspoon Garam masala
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ teaspoon Amchur powder

Instructions
 

  • First, take 2 cups (double quantity of sweet corn if boiling in pan, 1½ cup if using pressure cooker) water in a pot and bring it to a boil, then add sweet corn, salt, and ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder into it. Let it boil for three to four minutes. ( If you are using frozen corn kernels then skip this step. don't boil it, as it already boiled before freezing)
  • Turn off the flames and drain the water using a strainer or colander and put the corns in a bowl.
  • Now take heat 2 teaspoon butter in a kadhai (pan). Once the butter is hot add boiled sweet corn and fry it for 2-3 minutes.
  • Then add salt, red chilli powder, garam masala, coriander powder, amchur powder, and ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder to it and let it cook for 2 minutes.
  • Now remove it in a large mixing bowl. and start to add all chopped vegetables one by one in it.
  • Mix well all ingredients by stirring it slowly.
  • Further, add ½ tablespoon chaat masala to get the flavour
  • Squeeze 1/2 lemon or add 1 tablespoon lemon juice in it. Mix it very well.
  • Finally, add chopped coriander in it, you can sprinkle sev on it.
  • Now corn chaat is ready to serve. Serve it hot.
