Ingredients for Chocolate milkshake recipe:

1 glass (250ml)  – Milk
1 cup (3 scoops) – Chocolate Ice Cream
5 nos. – Cashew nuts
1 tablespoon – Cocoa powder
1 tablespoon – powdered Sugar
5 nos. – Almonds
5 nos. – Dates (khajur)
2 tablespoon – Chocolate syrup
4-5 nos – Ice cubes
1/2 teaspoon – Coffee powder

Method for preparing Chocolate milkshake with step by step photos:

 

1 – Remove the seeds from dates, then add dates, almonds, cashew nuts (Kaju), and powdered sugar in a blender and blend it until it turns into fine powder. Then transfer it to a bowl.

Ingredients for Moong dal khichdi:

1 cup – Rice
1/4 cup – Moong dal
1 tablespoon – Cooking oil
1 teaspoon – Mustard seeds
4-5 nos. Curry leaves
1 teaspoon – Asafoetida (heeng)
1/2 teaspoon – Turmeric powder,
1 no. – Green chilli
1 teaspoon – Cumin seeds (Jeera )
10-15 nos. –  Garlic cloves
1 tablespoon – chopped coriander leaves
Salt to taste (around 1 teaspoon)
2 and 1/4 cup – Water (the same cup that used for measuring rice )

Method for preparing moong dal khichdi with step by step photo:

 

1 – Rinse rice and moong dal with water until water gets clear then drain out the whole water from it.

2 – Heat cooking oil in a small cooking pot or directly in the cooker Add one by one all ingredients like mustard seeds, cumin seeds, crushed garlic, green chilli, and curry leaves.

3 – Saute it well when mustard and cumin seeds start crackling and garlic change its colour to light brown then add soaked moong dal and fry it well for a minute.

4 – Further add turmeric powder and asafoetida and salt to it And Saute for minutes.

5 – Now it’s time to adding water to it ( Room temperature water) as we are preparing khichdi so add a little bit more water than usually you used to cooking rice. So I usually add water double of rice while normal cooking. But here for making khichdi we need rice cook to be softer so I have added 1/4 cup more, so a total of 2 and 1/4 cup water is used here.

6 – Now add chopped coriander leaves and allow them to boil.

7 – Once water gets boiled add soaked rice in it and mix it gently well.

8 – If you are using a separate pot then transfer this mix to the cooker. if you are directly using the cooker from starting then cover the lid and cook for 3 whistles. Turn off the gas and let the pressure of the cooker dissipate. It will take about 8-10 minutes. If you open the lid immediately, then the khichdi may remain raw.

9 –  And your hot and yummy khichdi is ready to serve. Garnish it with a few chopped coriander leaves. Serve with ghee and enjoy your tasty yummy and easy meal.

Note:-

1 – You can also use ghee instead of oil to make it. And after it is made, you can put ghee on top of hot khichdi and eat it with papad or pickle.

2 – If you are preparing khichdi for a baby then avoid spices and salt. You can add the veggies suggested by your pediatrician.

3 –  If you want khichdi to be softer, increase the amount of water a little and if you want fluffy, reduce it a little.

4 – you can add peas, potato, cauliflower, bell pepper, onion, carrot, etc to khichdi.

5 – If moong dal is not available or you don’t like then, you can use any pulses you like.

6 – Khichdi can be made directly in the pot without using a cooker. Fry the rice in a pot and add hot water and other ingredients as usual. It only takes about three times as much water. Add water to the roasted rice and cook on high flame without a lid.

 So today I have come up with the method of making methi pakodas for you methi contains a lot of vitamins, so eating it is good for health Tea and fritters are great in winter, Well you can eat them anytime you want, so let’s start making it. Eating methi pakodas is one of the best ways to include methi in our diet and this is a good winter or rainy snack to be had along with tea.

 

Add methi leaves in pakoda batter and making them as crispy pakodas using the batter of besan and rice flour is an interesting idea to make them… Enjoy this snack using cold winters or rainy evenings and try to make this if you are looking forward to making different kinds of bhajiya varieties.

Ingredients for Methi pakoda recipe :

 

2 nos. – medium size bunches of fenugreek leaves/methi leaves (around 150 gms)
200 gms –  Besan / Chickpea flour
1 tablespoon – fresh yogurt
1 teaspoon –  Red chili powder
1/4 teaspoon –  Turmeric powder
1/4 teaspoon –  Coriander seeds powder
1 teaspoon – Salt
1/4 teaspoon – Amchur Powder (Mango powder)
1 no. – Chopped green chili
A pinch of Baking soda
1/4 teaspoon –   Ajwain (Carom seeds)
1 teaspoon – Oil (for batter preparation)
Oil for deep frying

Method for preparing methi pakoda with step by step photos:

1 – First, wash the methi leaves 2 times with clean water and keep the washed leaves slanted in a sieve or plate in such a way that the excess water comes out from the leaves.

2 – Then, take besan (chickpea flour) in a bowl. Add red chili powder, chopped green chili, turmeric powder, baking soda, amchur powder, coriander powder, ajwain, a little bit of oil, and salt.

3 – Further, add fenugreek and yogurt to the besan and mix well gently.

4 – With the help of water, make a thick batter by ensuring methi leaves and besan blended well.

5 – Keep the solution for 10 minutes so that methi leaves get saturated in besan. If the solution looks much thick, then add a little more water. 

 

6 – Then beat the batter again for 2-3 minutes. Consistency of batter should not too much thick or thin. It should be like as shown in the photo below.

Frying Pakoda:

7 – Put oil in a frying pan or kadhai and heat it. Take a little batter with a spoon and pour it into the hot oil slowly, pour as many as possible in the oil.

8 – Keep the flame medium. Fry the pakodas on both sides till they turn golden brown in colour.

9 – Keep flipping the pakodas on both sides with the help of a strainer, so they will not get burnt.

10 – Take out the fried pakodas on a plate covered with tissue paper.

11 – Likewise prepare pakodas from the remaining batter. It takes 5-6 minutes to fry the dumplings of a batter. Now hot crispy pakodas are ready.

Tips for Methi pakoda:

1 – Chopping methi leaves releases a lot of its bitter juices so you can add the methi leaves whole if you want (removed of stalks completely). 

2 – To reduce the bitterness of methi leaves, I have added curd, you can skip the curd if you don’t like it.

3 – Add these pakodas to the kadhi and you have some delicious Methi Pakoda Kadhi dish.

4 – You can add sliced onion with methi leaves. 

5 – You can add your favourite green leaf vegetable instead of methi and prepare pakodas in the same method.

6 – Use thick besan batter to make pakodas. If the batter is not thick pakodas will not be crispy. You can add 2-3 tablespoons of semolina or rice flour in normal besan to increase the crispiness of Pakodas.
