Today I am going to share with you a restaurant-style Gobi matar sabji. 250g- cauliflower

100g- Green peas

2- onion {copped}

2- medium size tomato pure

1- teaspoon cumin seeds{jeera}

2- bay leaves

2- green cardamom

2to3- cloves

1-inch – cinnamon

1- tablespoon red chili powder

½ teaspoon- of salt

1 teaspoon- gram masala powder

2 tablespoons – of cooking oil

2- tablespoons chopped coriander leaves

1 – a glass of water

1 tablespoon ghee

Ingredients for boiling cauliflower and peas

½ teaspoon- of turmeric powder

½ teaspoon- of salt

2 glasses – water

Ingredients for green masala

6 t0 7- garlic cloves

1inch- ginger

1- onion {copped}

1- green chili


  1. Cut the cauliflower flowerets into 2 or 3 pieces. wash and keep aside.
  2. Add  ½ teaspoon- of turmeric powder, and ½ teaspoon- of salt in 2 glasses of water and boil it, then add cauliflower pieces and green peas to it.
  3. boil for only 5 minutes then remove boiled cauliflower pieces and green peas and keep aside.
  4. make a green masala paste of 6 t0 7- garlic cloves,1inch- ginger,1- onion {copped},1- green chili. and keep aside. blend all together.
  5. now heat two tablespoon oil in a kadhai and fry all dry masala {1- teaspoon cumin seeds{jeera},2- bay leaves, 2- green cardamom, 2to3- cloves,1-inch – cinnamon} and then add finely chopped onion and fry it till it turns golden brown.
  6. further, add green masala to it. cook for a minute and add tomato pure to it.
  7. cook for a minute, now add 1- tablespoon of red chili powder,½ teaspoon- of salt, and 1 teaspoon- of gram masala powder and cook until oil oozes out from the gravy.
  8. then add boiled cauliflower and peas to it and mix gently.
  9. now add a glass of water and cover the lid set the gas on medium flame and cook for 5 minutes.
  10. after 5 minutes add chopped coriander leaves add 1 tablespoon of ghee to make cauliflower green peas gravy {gobi matar sabji} tastier.
  11. turn off the gas our cauliflower green peas gravy {gobi matar sabji} is ready to serve.
  12. you can serve this sabji or gravy with chappati, roti, nan, and rice for lunch, dinner, or in tiffin also.
