Apple Kheer (rabdi)

Apple Rabdi, Apple Kheer, or Apple basundi is an excellent variation to the regular rabdi made by thickening the full cream milk and apple giving it a nice crunch. People conscious of sugar can use the substitutes, this dessert is destined to please everyone. This easy dessert can be made quickly and decorated with apple and date slices. It looks best when served in a broad serving dish such that the apple slices can be lined properly for garnishing.

“An apple a day keeps the doctor away“, we have grown up listening to this. I don’t know how true is it, however, apple really stands out with its high nutritional content and is rich in dietary fibers, vitamins, and minerals.

Apple kheer or puree is often considered an immunity booster. If you want to give it to your toddler then skip condensed milk, add 3 tbsp sugar or jaggery and grind all the dry fruits instead of chopping. Here’s what it has that benefits your little one when it is made a part of his regular diet. This nutritional value is for one serving (100g) of apple kheer.
