Lemonade recipe: Summer has arrived, and it is leaving you hot, agitated, and definitely not in the best of spirits. With all the sweat and heat that you struggle with, all you crave is a chilled glass of your favorite Lemonade, Lemon juice, or nimbu Shikanji. That you could gulp down all at once and feel rejuvenating instantly. Loaded with vitamin C, lemonade is a body cleanser and has wonderful detox abilities. It keeps the body cool during the summers. The alkaline nature of the lemons protects the cells from oxidation. It also aids in weight loss, relieves constipation, helps to treat acne, and energizes the body and immune system.
Health benefits of Lemon Juice:
Lemon juice in its natural state is Acidic with a pH of about 2, but once metabolized it actually becomes Alkaline with a pH well above 7. So, outside the body, anyone can see that lemon juice is very acidic. However, once fully digested, its effect is proven to be alkalizing with many health benefits. Lemons include many vitamins and nutrients that can provide a boost to your body:
Vitamin C: Lemons are a good source of Vitamin C, which promotes immunity, battles infection, heals wounds, and more.

Ingredients for lemonade recipe:
Lemon juice (Nimbu shikanji) with sugar:
1 glass – Chilled water (200ml)
½ Lemon Juice ( medium size lemon)
2 teaspoon – Soaked sweet basil seeds (Sabja seeds)
4-5 nos. – Chopped (or crushed) Mint leaves
1 tablespoon – Sugar
1 pinch – black pepper powder (1/8 teaspoon)
¼ teaspoon – Jeera (cumin seeds) powder
1 pinch – Cardamom powder
¼ teaspoon – Salt (as per taste)
4-5 nos. – Ice cubes
Lemon juice (Nimbu shikanji) with Jaggery:
1 glass – Chilled water (200ml)
½ Lemon juice (medium size lemon)
2 teaspoon – Soaked sabja seeds
4-5 nos. – Chopped or crushed mint leaves
1 tablespoon – Jaggery powder
1 pinch – Black Pepper powder (1/8 teaspoon)
½ teaspoon – Jeera (cumin seeds) powder
1 pinch – Cardamom powder
¼ teaspoon – Salt (as per taste)
4-5 nos. – Ice cubes
Method for preparing lemonade with step by step photos:
First, soak the Sabja seed in 2 cups of water for 10-15 minutes.
Method for Lemon juice (Nimbu shikanji) with sugar:
1 – First cut the lemon in half.
2 – Then squeeze the lemon juice into a glass.
3 – Then add chopped mint leaves, black pepper powder, cumin powder, soaked sabja seeds, 2-3 ice cubes, salt, and sugar.
4 – When the sugar gets dusty, add water to it and mix it well.
5 – At the end put a little ice cube in it and decorate it with a piece of lemon and sprinkle a pinch of cardamom powder over it and mix well.

Method for Lemon juice (Nimbu shikanji) with sugar:
1 – Repeat all steps as the above method for Lemon juice with sugar but do one different just replace sugar with jaggery.
2 – Add 1 tablespoon of jaggery instead of sugar in Lemon juice, and our nimbu shikanji with jaggery is ready to serve.
The small tweaks you do in your recipe by adding jaggery do change the taste and it can help a lot in improving your metabolism and burn belly fat. So, try this amazing health drink with sugar and jaggery this summer and enjoy it.
Lemonade recipe Notes:
1 – If you use sugar powder, it will dissolve quickly in the lemon juice.
2 – Adding cumin powder changes the taste of lemon water.
3 – You can also add honey instead of sugar or jaggery.
4 – You can use soda water instead of normally chilled water.
5 – For low-calorie lemonade, you can replace sugar and jaggery with low calories sweeteners.
