Onion rings with cheese
Crispy Cheese onion rings, today we are going to tell you about a very good party snack that guests, children, and elders will like equally. We are talking about crispy Cheese Onion Rings. By the way, this is an American snack that has become quite popular over time. Not only this but these cheesy onion rings are also served in restaurants and cafes. However, the homemade recipe has its own taste and flavor that we are going to tell has been used in this recipe. Due to this the taste is very different. Ingredients:
2 nos. – Large size onions – Preferably white onion
75 grams – Mozzarella cheese cubes
2 cups – Maida (All purpose flour) (250 grams)
2 tablespoons – Cornflour
4 nos. – Eggs
2 cups – Breadcrumb (230 gram) – Crush and grind bread slices to granular size
2 teaspoons – Red chilli powder
1/2 teaspoon – Garam masala
1 teaspoon – Coriander powder
1 teaspoon – Salt as per taste
Oil for deep frying
Method for preparing Onion cheese rings recipe with step by step photos:
1 – Peel and cut onions into 1 cm or ½ inch size rings, separate the rings.
2 – Use proper types of onion which have only one circle. Avoid using a type of onion having two or more inner circles as shown in the photo.
3 – Slice the mozzarella cheese cubes into strips and place the smaller onion ring in the centre of a large one.
4 – Fill the gap between the rings with the mozzarella strips, for extra cheesiness use two layers of cheese.
5 – Repeat the above step for the remaining onion rings and keep them in freeze for 1 hour.
6 – Now in a mixing bowl, mix maida (all-purpose) flour and cornflour, add 2 teaspoons red chilli powder, ½ teaspoon for garam masala, 1 teaspoon coriander powder, salt, and mix it well.
7 – Coat each prepared ring in the flour thoroughly.
8 – Take egg and breadcrumb into two separate bowls.
9 – Dip the ring into the beaten egg first.
Coating Ring:
10 – Then dip the ring in breadcrumbs to get the coating on all sides.
11 – Repeat the above three steps one more time
12 – Again dip the same ring in flour to get covered by 2nd coat of flour.
13 – After that again dip the same ring in the beaten egg.
14 – Finally, dip in breadcrumb 2nd coat.
15 – prepare all the rings in the same way and keep them in freeze for 10 minutes.
16 – Heat cooking oil in a kadhai on medium flame, fry them in the oil for 2 to 3 minutes. When you start to see the edges and top turning a golden-brown in color, flip them over and let them continue cooking until they take on an even color all the way around.
17 – Take care don’t overcook rings otherwise all cheese will ooze out completely.
18 – Drain on a paper napkin and serve it hot with tomato ketchup or mayonnaise
Tips for Onion cheese rings recipe:-
1 – You can use White or any type of onion. But it should be large and it should be useful for making onion rings.
2 – Take a big onion and cut it into half-inch pieces in a circle and take out the sticks.
3 – To get thick onion rings, cut them half-inch apart from each other.
4 – While pairing the onion rings, make sure you don’t select equal-sized rings as cheese strips won’t fit inside them. Make a pair of one smaller and one larger ring.
