Malida and Malida ladoos Recipe

Malida and malida ladoos Ingredients:
250 grams – Whole wheat flour (2 cups)
50 grams – Semolina medium size (Rava) (½ cup)
1 tablespoon – Clarified Butter (Ghee)
½ teaspoon – Salt (as per taste)
150 grams – Shredded jaggery (1 cup)
½ cup – Water or milk
½ cup – Chopped nuts (Cashew nut, Almonds, Pistachio, etc)
1 tablespoon – Raisins
1 tablespoon – Split Chickpeas (Roasted chana dal)
100 grams – Grated coconut
1 teaspoon – Cardamom powder
½ teaspoon – Fennel seeds powder (Saunf powder)
Method for preparing Malida and malida ladoos with step by step photos:
How to prepare Malida:
1 – First make dough using wheat flour, rava, Ghee, and milk or water. Leave this dough for 15 minutes. After that make medium size dough ball.
2 – Make normal size chapatis as you make usually, but use more ghee.
3 – There is no need for chapatis size should be round because we have to crumble it for making malida.
4 – Further, in a kadhai heat ½ tablespoon ghee and roast all the ingredients, and keep aside.
5 – When chapatis cooled, crush them with your hands or by using a mixer. If you are using a mixer then don’t grind fine, it should little bit rough.
6 – Now add all the ingredients one by one like cardamom powder, saunf powder, grated coconut, chopped dry fruits, raisins, shredded jaggery, chana dal to ground chapatis in a large bowl.
7 – Mix everything as per below and yes your Malida is ready to serve.
How to prepare Malida ladoos:
1 – First, make malida as per the above steps.
2 – Binding malida ladoos is very simple no need to add anything into malida for making ladoos but if you use less jaggery in malida it makes it a little bit difficult to bind ladoos.
3 – Prepare jaggery syrup and add it. (melt 1 teaspoon jaggery into 1 tablespoons water)
4 – When it cools down then add it into malida and also add 1 tablespoon ghee.
5 – Mix it well in malida. and start making medium size balls (ladoo).
6 – Finally, your Malida ladoos are ready to serve.
Notes:
- Chapatis must be thick for better taste.
- You can use your choice of dry fruits in malida.
- Must roast or fry dry fruits.
