These Date chocolate coconut energy balls are so easy and tasty! It’s a quick recipe made in 10 minutes with vegan and gluten-free ingredients. You can satisfy your sweet tooth in a healthy manner with just dates, chocolate, coconut, almond, and cashew. Each bite-sized ball is perfect for an afternoon snack or as a nutritious dessert!

Ingredients for Date energy balls recipe:

250 gms – Dates
75 gms – Dark chocolate
25 gms – Milk chocolate
4 tablespoons – chopped Almonds (Badam)
4 tablespoons – chopped Cashew (Kaju)
3 tablespoons – chopped Pistachios (Pista)
1/2 cup – finely grated dry Coconut (discard the black side of coconut by grating it gently)
1 tablespoon – Ghee (clarified butter)
1 tablespoon – Cooking coconut oil
4-5 drop – Red food color
20 nos. – butter paper muffin cup

Method for preparing Date energy balls with step by step photos:

 

1 – Remove the date seeds and grind the dates in a mixer.

Then transfer it to the mixing bowl and add chopped almonds, cashew, pistachios, and ghee to it and combine it well and knead it like a dough.

2 – Apply a little ghee on the palms and make small balls (ladoo) around 1 to 1 ½ inch size, do that same procedure and prepare all balls and keep aside.

3 – Now, take a cooking bowl and transfer dark and milk chocolate together in it, and add 1 tablespoon coconut oil. Further, boil 2 glasses of water in a cooking pot and place this chocolate bowl over it. Within 30 seconds chocolate starts to melt and in 1 minute it melts completely.

Keep stirring occasionally while melting chocolate, Now turn off the flame and remove the bowl of melted chocolate.

4 – Divide equally grated coconut into two bowls, one keeps as it is, and mix 4-5 drops of red food colour in the second bowl of grated coconut.

5 – Now collect all ingredients near like, date and nuts balls, butter paper muffin cups, a bowl of melted chocolate, two tooth pins, and grated coconut.

6 – Now, insert tooth pin in date and nutball and dip it in melted chocolate, cover melted chocolate all around the date, and nut balls with the help of a spoon.

7 – Now sprinkle grated coconut over it, dip it and rotate slowly to cover it with grated coconut, then put down it into a butter paper muffin cup and remove the tooth pin from it.

8 – Do the same procedure with all date and nut balls and sprinkle red and white grated coconut alternatively.

Notes:

1 – You can use dry fruits of your choice.

2 – If you want to use more dry fruits, you should also increase the number of dates, Otherwise the balls will not form properly.

3 – Store it in an airtight container in a refrigerator and remove it 10 minutes before eating.

4 – Place on a parchment-covered sheet and refrigerate until more solidified (because coconut oil can melt or soften at room temperature, you’ll need to keep these refrigerated so they stay together).
